Former NFL Star Deion Sanders Welcomes Bill Goldberg's Son to Colorado Football
Goldberg's Son Joins Father's Alma Mater
Former NFL star and current Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders has announced the addition of Gage Goldberg, son of WCW legend Bill Goldberg, to his roster at the University of Colorado.
Gage, a 6'4", 250-pound offensive tackle, spent the last two seasons at Florida International University before transferring to Colorado.
Goldberg and Sanders: A History of Friendship
The relationship between Bill Goldberg and Deion Sanders dates back to their playing days at the University of Georgia in the early 1990s. The two were teammates on the Bulldogs' 1992 SEC championship team.
Their friendship has continued off the field, with Sanders serving as a mentor to Gage Goldberg throughout his high school and college career.
Sanders' Confidence in Gage Goldberg
Sanders is excited to have Gage Goldberg join his program and believes he has the potential to be a valuable asset to the Colorado Buffaloes.
"Gage is a young man with a lot of talent and potential," Sanders said. "I'm confident that he can make a significant contribution to our team."
Goldberg's Motivation and Goals
Gage Goldberg is eager to prove himself at Colorado and help the Buffaloes achieve success.
"I'm excited to be a part of this program and I'm ready to work hard to earn my spot on the team," Goldberg said. "My goal is to help Colorado win a Pac-12 championship."
Colorado's Bright Football Future
The addition of Gage Goldberg is just one of several positive developments for the Colorado football program under Sanders' leadership.
The Buffaloes have won eight games in each of the last two seasons, including a 10-3 record in 2022. They are poised to make a run at the Pac-12 title in 2023.
