Reds Amed Rosario Absent From Lineup

Reds' Amed Rosario: Absent from lineup

Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Amed Rosario was not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs due to a left ankle sprain.

Rosario suffered the injury in the first inning of Monday's game against the Cubs when he collided with Cubs first baseman Patrick Wisdom while trying to field a ground ball.

Injury Update

Reds manager David Bell said after Monday's game that Rosario is day-to-day with the injury. Bell said that Rosario would be re-evaluated on Tuesday and that he could potentially return to the lineup as early as Wednesday.

Rosario is batting .288 with six home runs and 27 RBIs in 65 games this season. He has been a key part of the Reds' offense this season, and his absence will be a blow to the team.
